Life Insurance (and income protection and critical illness cover)

Cyberifa Funds Managment a Brighter Prospect
Our job is to match your requirements with the right sort of policy, find the best price in the market for the policy, then to make sure that it is written properly* (see below).

Do you need cover? Maybe not. You may be single without responsibilities and so need not have a need for a policy which leaves money on your death. But if you are responsible for earning your own income and/or paying your own mortgage if you become incapacitated or seriously ill, you might wish to have cover in place which would either provide for your income to continue in incapacity or provide a lump sum payment to you if you contracted a serious illness.

We have been around long enough to have seen all three of these types of policy pay out so can testify from real experience that a pay out on the death of a partner or father or mother can make a real difference to the survivor's quality of life. Income Protection cover claims are rare but they can be some size. Clients who have become unable to work for medical reasons for example at age 45, and are unable to return to work can have income paid for 20 years.

We have also had practical experience of the benefit of critical illness cover. Heart attack, Cancer and stroke victims are by far the largest group of claimants on these policies although a much longer list of illnesses are generally covered. From experience we can tell you that having a large cheque paid into a client's bank in these circumstances from a Critical Illness policy claim certainly helps them relax and try and get better.

* By having the policy written properly we mean for example making sure that the proceeds of a claim on a life policy are not taxed. This sort of planning often involves the use of a trust. Providing the right sort of trust to hold the policy is an area in which we should be able to keep you right.
