Cyberifa Services to Attorneys

Cyberifa Attorney servicesFor Legal Practitioners:
If you are advising your clients to grant a Power of Attorney and in speaking to your client you find that he/she has a bit of difficulty summarising her affairs for you, you may wish to consider heading off the difficulties which might arise for their Attorneys should the Attorneys find themselves trying to make sense of your client's confusing paperwork.

We find, as no doubt you will, that some clients like to spread their cash deposits around these days. The fear of a bank going bust, combines with a quest for the best deals, to result in the client having perhaps 4 or 5 cash ISA's, three deposit accounts, and two current accounts. When we find that the client also has a box of dividend slips interspaced with some certificates for shareholdings which they have no interest in following, some National Savings certificates which have matured, and in general the client has only a tenuous grasp on their finances, we gently suggest to the client that we perform a trawl on their files, and we go about placing their deposits, cash ISA's, stocks and shares-in fact we suggest that they place everything on our Platform except their current account. That way, as their advisers we can see how they stand, the client themselves can see on a single summary page where all their deposits and investments sit, and what they are worth and, if and when it comes to it, so can their Attorneys. In some cases, where for example the client is still perfectly compus mentus, but has a disability such as deteriorating sight, we have also used the Platform, not only to hold her deposits and investments but also to receive and accrue her sources of non investment income-her pension annuities and State and Occupational pensions. This way the client is able to log in and see her position in magnified screen. Her income accrues on the Platform, and she has a regular single monthly withdrawal paid to her current account from the Platform account/s.

For Attorneys:
If you find yourself having to operate a friend or relative's financial affairs, and you are finding it a chore to identify exactly where their funds are, what they amount to or whether they are arranged to best advantage, you may wish to talk to cyberifa. We will look at making a good record for you of your friend or relative's finances. In most cases we will suggest that you use our Platform to hold your friend or relative's financial assets and to accrue their income, paying out a regular withdrawal for them. If you have been asked by the Public Guardian or by a Local Authority for a financial plan we will help you with its compilation. Recording all assets, simplifying their administration, agreeing a financial plan and implementing the plan in as simple a way operationally as we can, then keeping it under review should help you do your job efficiently and effectively without worrying about it. Our retained Chartered Accountant can help with tax returns, and we can help plan with Inheritance Tax Planning and in all other financial planning areas as required.
